NewQuake does not use advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
Location. When you grant location access, your device location is used only on-device to display the distance from you to earthquake, tsunami, and volcano events and to apply your alert proximity setting. It is never transmitted off-device or shared with any third party.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, your APNs device token is stored on our server solely to deliver earthquake, tsunami, and volcano alerts. No account, name, email address, or location is associated with the token. If you disable notifications in NewQuake, the token is removed from our server. You can also request deletion at any time using the contact address below.
Diagnostics. NewQuake uses Sentry to collect crash reports, performance diagnostics, and related technical logs so we can fix reliability problems. Diagnostics are used only for app functionality and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Data sources. Event data is fetched from public agencies (USGS, EMSC, JMA, NOAA, GDACS). NewQuake does not send any user data to those agencies.
Safety. NewQuake is informational and may be delayed or incomplete. Follow official local emergency guidance for safety decisions.
